Sugar Baby Q&A: Have a sugar daddy in Cambridge

Unsurprisingly, many have to find additional incomes to support their lifestyles, with some choosing to work several jobs whilst studying too.

Despite the prices, more and more people are attracted to Cambridge each year and find a way to make it work.

Others are more creative with how they earn some extra cash. We all know that the Cambridge lifestyle is not cheap.

From meals out to accommodation, everything seems to be expensive and it is especially tough when you are young. Many of us girls have probably joked about getting ourselves a ‘sugar daddy’ to help us live a more luxurious life.

However, the number of young women in Cambridge becoming ‘sugar babies’ keeps on rising, with some reportedly making more than £2,000 per month.

Becoming a ‘sugar baby’ isn’t actually that hard and there are several websites such as Millionbb that enable you to meet a Sugar Daddy or Momma.

According to the SA website, millions of students are using this opportunity to pay off their student loans.

In 2019, nearly 900 students from the University of Cambridge were signed up to SA, making it the 13th most popular destination for sugar baby activities in the country.

The site reportedly has around 100 new signings each year from Cambridge Uni.

The life of a ‘sugar baby’ isn’t often discussed, leaving many with questions such as: How much can I earn? Is it legal? and do I have to have sex?

We spoke to a local sugar baby to find out the answers to those questions.

What made you do it and is it for everyone?

“I heard about the site through friends but it wasn’t until I read an article online about how this girl quit and actually married her Sugar Daddy that I decided to try it.

“I was a student when I began using the site. I chose to date a higher class of man to help me supplement my living costs, yes.”

“You just have to be someone who is comfortable being upfront about what you are looking for in your next relationship.”

Aside from the money, are there any other perks of the job?

“In terms of Seeking, the best part is having access to people all over the world and I have met a few really cool people.

“I’m a major foodie so I love to go out to lunch or dinner.

“I have travelled a little bit throughout the country and to a few other big cities. Sometimes we go to concert events or Broadway shows.”

You read all sorts about sugar babies getting designer handbags and Chanel No.5 – but what’s the most expensive gift you’ve ever received?

“The most expensive place that I’ve been was to Paris for four days.

“The most expensive gifts that I’ve received have been a Rolex and a few designer shoes, a few Jimmy Choos, Louboutins and Louis Vuitton bags.”

Yeah sure, we all have Louboutins knocking around the house! But it can’t be all designer gifts and romantic getaways. Do you ever get scared something might happen to you?

“I wasn’t so much scared because I know the cautionary steps of meeting someone for the first time, but I was certainly a little nervous to find out what he was looking for and how he’d approach this style of dating.

“The worst part is that there are some people on there with the wrong intentions or pretend to be someone they are not. It’s just like other dating sites that I’ve tried.

“As long as I am smart and cautious about who I meet, it’s no different than dating before.

“I do use a different name and number until I meet with the right match.

“I do this because it adds a sense of safety and if they somehow tried to expose my personal information online, it’d be harder to trace.”

Do you think of it as your ‘real job?’

“I have a job. I work part-time as a customer service representative and that’s my job. I have dreams and goals that I want to achieve.”

“The biggest misconception about sugar babies is that people think we are lazy and don’t want to be more than a Sugar Baby.

Right, let’s address the elephant in the room, do you have sex with your Sugar Daddies and do they have any weird fetishes?

Whether it’s common for them to have sex with their sugar daddy

“If I feel like it’s grown to a point where I trust this person and see him in my life, why not.

“I don’t have customers, just Sugar Daddies.

“I have yet to meet one with a fetish but my friend has met a few with some interesting requests.”

“It’s no different than having a boyfriend of the same age, who is rich and can splurge on fancy dinners or gifts.

Such as?

“That would be telling…”

How often do you see each other?

“I see my partners maybe two or three times a week. I prefer to date one person at a time.

“I also chat with my past Sugar Daddies all the time. They have been great influences in my life.”

Is there a lot of competition?

“I thought that sales reps were in high demand but sugar babies are pretty sought after in the UK too.”

Do ever find out much about what your *coughs* daddy does for a living?

“I’ve met a few business executives, doctors, and sales directors.”

How much money do you make?

“If I do receive financial or physical gifts, the amount varies. I’d say if they are helping me with my bills, I’m gifted about £2,000 per month.

“In total, I’ve probably been gifted about £10,000 since finding my most recent Sugar Daddy.”

“The men that I meet are not customers. I don’t think that’s allowed. We actually date!
